Terms of Use

These terms govern access to WalkiTalki and the responsibilities that come with a parent-supervised family account.

Effective August 14, 2026

1. Agreement and beta status

By creating an account or using WalkiTalki, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. WalkiTalki may be offered as a private beta. Beta features can change, be interrupted, or be withdrawn while we test safety, reliability, and product fit.

2. Parent accounts and authority

A parent or legal guardian must create and control the family account. You confirm that you have authority to create profiles and manage settings for the children you add. You are responsible for accurate account information, protecting your credentials and Parent Exit PIN, and supervising your family’s use.

3. How children may use WalkiTalki

Children may use only the Kid Mode, contacts, groups, schedules, devices, and permissions configured by a parent. Children may not use the service to contact unapproved people, evade parent controls, impersonate someone, harass others, share unlawful material, or interfere with the service.

4. Family connections and permissions

A family connection records trust between parents; it does not automatically authorize child communication. Each child-to-child permission and each child’s group membership must be approved through the available parent controls. Either family may revoke a permission or connection.

5. Voice clips and your content

You retain your rights in content submitted through your family account. You grant WalkiTalki the limited rights needed to store, transmit, process, and present that content to provide and secure the service. You are responsible for ensuring your family has the right to send the content it submits.

6. Acceptable use

You may not misuse WalkiTalki, probe or bypass security, scrape the service, introduce malicious code, use automated systems to abuse forms or accounts, collect information about other families, or use the service for illegal, exploitative, or unsafe activity. We may restrict or suspend access when reasonably necessary to protect children, families, or the service.

7. Service availability and changes

We work to provide a reliable service, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free availability. We may change features, limits, supported platforms, or beta access. If paid plans are introduced, their pricing and additional terms will be shown before a purchase; no payment is required merely by these Terms.

8. Termination

You may stop using WalkiTalki and request account deletion. We may suspend or end access for material violations, safety concerns, legal requirements, or discontinuation of the service. Provisions that reasonably should survive termination—including ownership, disclaimers, and limits of liability—will survive.

9. Disclaimers and liability

To the extent permitted by law, WalkiTalki is provided “as is” and “as available.” Parent controls support supervision but do not replace a parent’s judgment or guarantee that every communication will be appropriate. To the extent permitted by law, WalkiTalki will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from use of the service.

10. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms as the service develops. We will post the revised effective date and provide additional notice when a material change affects active families. Continued use after the change takes effect means you accept the updated Terms.

11. Contact

Questions or requests can be sent through our Contact Us form. Please do not send passwords, voice recordings, or unnecessary information about a child.
